Our Services

Individual Counseling

We provide one-on-one counseling for those who are 5 years old and up. Sessions are typically 50-90 minutes in length (your counselor will discuss this with you).

Because each individual is different, we don't believe in, or approach counseling as, a one size fits all type approach. This process is different for everyone!

Modalities we use include:

- Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR)

- Animal Assisted Therapy (AAT)

- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

- Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT)

- Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)

- Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT)

- Thought Field Therapy (TFT)

- Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI)

Couples Counseling

Couples therapy is a type of psychotherapy in which a therapist with clinical experience working with couples -most often a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) - helps those involved in a romantic relationship gain insight into their relationship, resolve conflict and improve relationship satisfaction utilizing a variety of therapeutic interventions. Although the practice of couples therapy may vary depending on the therapist’s theoretical orientation, all couples therapy tends to involve the following general elements:

  1. A focus on a specific problem (i.e. sexual difficulties, Internet addiction, jealousy)

  2. Active participation on the part of the therapist in treating the relationship itself, rather than each individual separately.

  3. Solution-focused, change-oriented interventions early on in treatment.

  4. A clear establishment of treatment objectives.

Animal Assisted Therapy,

including Equine Assisted Counseling

Animal Assisted Therapy (AAT) is a form of creative therapy that utilizes animals and handlers (people who manage the animal) to provide goal-directed therapy to individuals.

AAT can be used with various psychological, emotional, developmental, cognitive, motivational, or physical concerns. Any fear of horses or dogs should be reported before treatment starts so proper precautionary measures can be taken and appropriateness determined.

Please report any allergies to dust, hay, and/or animals prior to sessions so proper precautions can be taken.
